Viaplay Sports - Program Planner

Full-time employee of Viaplay Sports Ireland based in our City Quay offices in Dublin 2.

Description:

Management of the monthly programme plans including daily updates for Viaplay Sports 1 and Viaplay Sports 2, which are broadcast in the UK across Sky/Virgin/Viaplay OTT and Amazon Prime.

Content management of UEFA, URC, Scottish Football, NHL, Rugby League, and other key products, which make up over 1500 live events a year and over 150 Viaplay Sport productions.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the accurate data input of Viaplay Sports live, 1^st airing, delayed and repeat programme content across Viaplay Sports 1 and Viaplay Sports 2.
• Build monthly programme plans for 2 x 24/7 linear channels and update accordingly.
• Manage the channel’s programme stock to effectively use the product
• Work closely with head of operations and production department to ensure live events go out with the correct TX times and break patterns.
• Closely work with channel scheduler to ensure break patterns are correctly applied.
• Liaise with sports rights holders and delivery department to ensure magazine programming is being delivered and brought to air as agreed. 
• Research and decide most appropriate events to broadcast given the parameters.
• Manage product library as it relates to programming and expired content.
• Monitor the ratings performance.
• Liaising with press associations to supply accurate press listings and synopses.
• Managing the daily Sky EPG files.
• Communicating any plan changes to all relevant departments.

• No experience is required to apply for this job and full training of the internal programme planning software will be given. However, an interest in sports, broadcasting, television, production, and media in general would be helpful.
