The Company:

Tailored is a busy, award winning Film, TV and Digital video Production Company based in Dublin. The Company has produced 10 TV series and 4 international feature films to date, as well as thousands of digital video projects for a variety of corporate clients. The Company is currently in pre-production for a German TV series and thriller feature film, whilst financing another TV drama series. It recently secured Creative Europe slate development funding for its slate of film and TV projects currently in active development. The Company was founded in 2006 by Ruth Treacy and Julianne Forde after graduation from the National Film School, Dun Laoghaire, and there are currently four additional full time staff members. The Company’s vision is to be renowned for producing edgy film and TV content that is underpinned by a strong societal message, and the Company has a strong focus on content for young audiences in particular.

The Role:

Tailored is seeking an experienced Producer to join their team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be extremely passionate about the Irish audiovisual industry and will possess a strong ambition and enthusiasm to work with the Company at a key point of growth for its slate.

The role will straddle two different facets of the Company; Film & TV, and Digital. The primary focus of the role initially will be the management of the digital video side of the business, however there is a requirement also for the Producer to work in a leadership capacity on a number of the TV and Film projects on the Company’s slate in early 2023.

The successful candidate will have proven experience as a producer (or line producer / co-ordinator) within this industry. They must be very confident in bringing a project from conception to completion, and delegating tasks to team members to ensure high standards are met. The role requires a self-starter, who is able to work autonomously as well as cross-functionally with the rest of the team.

Tasks on a daily basis will include:

  • Being the lead project manager on multiple, concurrent projects on Tailored’s digital slate. Bringing digital projects from conception to completion and ensuring high standards throughout the process. This would include generating quotes, devising briefs, co-ordinating shoot logistics, managing the post production process, as well as undertaking a performance and profitability analysis at the end of each project.
  • Being the sales lead for Tailored’s digital slate, generating new sales leads, applying for tenders, attending meetings with potential clients and point of contact for existing client relationships.
  • Playing a supportive production role on the current slate Tailored’s ongoing TV and film projects, as well as working as lead producer alongside another in-house producer on certain projects that require two lead producers. This would involve working on film and TV budgets and finance plans, co-ordinating shoot logistics, sourcing crew, casting work, applying for the Irish tax credit and co-production finance, as well as more creative elements such as providing notes on scripts and liaising with key creative talent to get film and TV projects off the ground.
  • Travel and attendance at key financing and co-production markets to pitch specific projects domestically and internationally will be required,
  • Working closely with key creative talent collaborators that the Company collaborates with.
  • Managing team members working on Tailored’s digital projects
  • Working closely with the lead producers within the Company on strategic plans to boost revenue, efficiency and idea pipelines.
