Head of Development - TV Drama
The Head of Development for TV Drama will be a key member of the creative team, reporting to the companies CEOs and Producers and supported by our existing development team.
You will be responsible for securing commissions with broadcasters, originating new concepts and formats for the company, and developing possible co-production opportunities with other production companies (national and international).
In many cases, the role extends to researching the international TV format market for licensing opportunities. The position also involves identifying and engaging with new talent
You must have a comprehensive understanding of drama programming and content successes and emerging trends in culturally relevant international broadcasters.
Responsibilities include:
- Driving the company’s current TV slate, as well as originating, acquiring and developing new projects in-line with the company’s vision and brand.
- Looking after and developing the company’s talent base and identifying and engaging with new and established talents.
- Engaging and forming relationships with financiers, funders and commissioners.
- Preparing and conducting pitch documents.
- Travelling to TV markets throughout the year as and when required.

- Be a team player with a strong work ethic.
- A dynamic individual with a proven track record within the TV industry.
- Strong verbal communications skills, written skills and presentation skills.
- A good understanding of the domestic and international TV market.
- Commitment to the companies diversity and inclusion goals.
Salary: Negotiable based on experience
