Windmill Lane Pictures Ltd. is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator.
About the role:
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the day to day administration, documentation, configuration, and maintenance of Windmill’s IT Networks and devices connected to the IT Network.
The Systems Administrator will provide exceptional IT technical support to Windmill Lane employees, contractors and clients as the need arises on our Media, Office, and Finance networks.
The ideal candidate must be extremely technical, innovative, and have a high degree of understanding, knowledge and experience in IT systems administration.
What the job will look like:
- Ensure the smooth running of Windmill’s network infrastructures & liaising with all stakeholders to ensure our networks are functioning as efficiently and productively as possible
- Responsibility for the administration and system maintenance of Linux, Macintosh, and Windows based servers and workstations
- Supporting producers, operators and other staff on network specific technical requirements for windmill’s projects, either in-house at Herbert Street or other remote locations
- Administration of High performance of data workflows, data storage and data backup systems
About you:
- Experience in configurations of Cisco & Dell Network Switches
- Possess a working knowledge of Cisco Firewall Configuration as well as Wi-Fi Networks and facility solutions
- Cisco Certification a big plus
- Customer Service focus with process improvement and change management skillsets
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux Server configuration including Linux command line
- Experience with Hardware configuration and Server software updating
- Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Ability to motivate people to embrace the benefits of homogeneous IT processes and systems, to deliver efficiencies and productivity in all our technical facilities
- Must be proactive, a problem solver, calm under pressure, and a fast-on-your-feet thinking professional
- Multi-tasking skillsets and ability to prioritise conflicting demands
- Experience in post-production & VFX workflows and technologies as well as Broadcast/Post/VFX industry dynamics desirable but not essential
