Development Executive

Responsibilities:

• Help oversee the sourcing and day-to-day development of the company’s slate of film and television projects
• Cultivate deep relationships with talent, producers, broadcasters, and the broader European & IRL/UK creative community 
• Drafting & sending submissions
• Sharing thoughts on project drafts or incoming material submissions
• Script-editing individual projects as required, providing both written and face-to-face feedback
• Developing high quality project specs/pitch documents including synopses, one sheets and treatments and assisting with support materials (visual pitch books, etc.)
• Work closely with BA execs to help negotiate deals with key talent
• Working with the Financial Controller to ensure up to date development accounts, ensuring invoices are settled, etc.
• Contribute to the overall creative strategy for Fíbín Films internationally

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 3 years’ experience and a thorough understanding of the Irish / UK Film and TV industry and will be able to show highly developed editorial analytical skills.
• Fluency in Irish
• Passion for creative excellence 
• Strong point of view on material 
• Deep relationships with agents, managers, producers, and writers
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Resilience and stamina to sustain performance when under pressure from tight schedules and conflicting priorities
• Diligent and resourceful
