Screen Scene is looking for an experienced Sound Re-recording Mixer to join its Film & TV Drama Sound department on a 6 month contract.

Screen Scene Group is part of this NEP worldwide network. We offer post production services to the feature, broadcast, digital and commercials marketplace.

Screen Scene has an exemplary history of delivering broadcast television, features, and drama to the highest standards around the world. The sound department plays a key part in this, and therefore requires highly skilled and diverse operators to maintain this standard.

The Role Requirements

  • Bring a mixture of creativity, technical ability, and client skills to the role. Must be flexible and open, with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with the members of the sound editorial team to realise the client brief.
  • Ability to forge and maintain positive client relationships. The client must always feel reassured and have full confidence in the mixer. This positive relationship goes hand in hand with effect client management skills.
  • Flexible in terms of working hours is a requirement of the role. Occasional weekend work required. Self-management in terms of time management and workload is essential. Ensure to keep abreast of the schedule and develop good lines of communication with the bookings team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both clients, freelance operators and colleagues is vital.  
  • Understand and comply with new and existing processes and policies.
  • Work with colleagues towards a common goal; thank and encourage staff as appropriate, foster a One Team mentality.

Skills / Qualifications

  • A thorough working knowledge of Pro Tools for sound post and mixing.
  • Experience of mixing TV drama series in 5.1 for Irish, UK and international broadcasters. 
  • Experience in mixing Feature Film 5.1 and 7.1 for cinematic release.
  • An understanding of broadcast specs and delivery requirements for sound.
  • Excellent communication and client facing skills.
  • Good time management skills and ability to work to very tight deadlines. Ability to work well under pressure.

This role is for an experienced mixer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
