VFX SENIOR COORDINATOR / JUNIOR PRODUCTION MANAGER
Windmill Lane VFX is looking for a Senior VFX Coordinator to join our team on upcoming feature & television projects.
The VFX Coordinator is in charge of organising the production of VFX for the films and TV series, while working in close collaboration with the VFX Producer and Supervisor.
You will be managing the creative team, defining clear milestones for the delivery of assets, shots, temps and finals, and reporting to the VFX Producer and VFX Supervisor detailing weekly progress. You will monitor the overall planning while ensuring that production runs smoothly.
This role will be defined by candidate‘s experience and potential and would suit someone with the ambitions of developing their skills and experience to Production Manager level.
Responsibilities
- Help the VFX producer establish and maintain the overall production schedule of the project, meeting internal and external deadlines
- Set/verify the objectives set for each department
- Report weekly to the VFX producer and Supervisor
- Anticipate and communicate issues to resolve problems quickly
- Set-up reviews with the production team and VFX Supervisor
- Willingness to perform coordination duties also such as: organise dailies, rounds and meetings, taking notes and following-up on information as necessary
- Oversee execution of client deliveries of all temps and finals.
- Coordinate other potential service providers that are assigned to the project
- Assist the VFX Producer in the production team’s recruitment process
Essential Skills
- The candidate must be detail orientated and highly organised
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to prioritise conflicting tasks
- Experience with project and team management in a studio or production environment
- Ability to remain calm and confident in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work within a team towards a common goal
- Good understanding of live-action and CG based VFX workflow
- Basic understanding of common file formats and resolutions
- Good knowledge of MS Office/Google Suite, in particular Excel and Word
- Knowledge of an asset manager such as SHOTGUN is a plus.

We are part of a busy content creation, VFX, audio, and post-production studio working on a range of film, TV, and advertising projects in Dublin, Ireland.
We are currently working remotely and ideally would prefer if you are, or could be Dublin-based in the future. We love and value a studio environment, although hybrid and remote working solutions will always be considered.
