MOTION DESIGNER - FILM & TV / VFX - Freelance

Windmill Lane VFX is looking for an experienced freelance Motion Designer to work with our VFX team on a variety of stylised VFX sequences on upcoming feature and television projects.

We need someone whose work displays a strong aesthetic eye with excellence and elegance in composition and motion.

Art Director/Creative Director experience would be preferred and it’s crucial that you are a team player. If you are interested in collaborating with us please get in touch.

Requirements

• Expert level Cinema 4D and After Effects artist preferred, although a similar capacity in alternative applications will also be considered.

• Creative fluency with particles and procedural techniques in the creation of beautiful, organic visuals.

• An exceptional creative eye and demonstrable strength in typography, colour layout composition and motion at directorial level
• Strong communication skills.

• Strong in concept, storyboard, design, look dev and style frames.
• Demonstrable capacity for problem-solving and ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
• A team player, who works well under pressure and can collaborate effectively to respect, deliver and enhance the client’s vision, as well as providing insight and ideas of your own. You must be able to take and share direction and feedback well, demonstrate initiative, versatility and resourcefulness and have a positive attitude.
• Experience working with smaller creative teams a plus.
• Experience with other applications, particularly Maya and Nuke a plus.
• A strong understanding of creative, VFX and film/TV production project workflows

About us

We are part of a busy content creation, VFX, audio, and post-production studio working on a range of film, TV, and advertising projects in Dublin, Ireland.

We are currently working remotely and ideally would prefer if you are, or could be Dublin-based in the future. We love and value a studio environment, although hybrid and remote working solutions will always be considered.
