The Journal.ie seek a Producer/project manager.

The post requires an individual who is excited by finding new ways to reach and engage digital news audiences and is passionate about the creation of content and events that inform and enlighten Irish citizens.

The successful candidate will be a highly organised, energetic team player who will be working at the very heart of one of the most innovative online news organisations in Ireland.

THE ROLE INVOLVES:

• Developing and delivering a suite of informative content products with TheJournal.ie senior editorial team;
• Helping to steer and motivate the project team towards delivering measurable goals;
• Establishing and maintaining excellent monitoring systems to evaluate the progress of the project towards its objectives on a continuous basis;
• Organising live and online events focused on content created for the project;
• Working with third-party service providers and commissioning freelance work where appropriate;
• Upholding core journalistic standards expected by the publication’s loyal user base.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• At least 5 years’ experience in a producer or project management role in any/all of the following sectors: journalism, digital communications, event management, broadcasting (TV/radio/film) production.
• A proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams towards a shared vision;
• Competency and confidence in working with audio-visual producers and event service providers to create compelling live and online events;
• Knowledge and experience in the use of online resources for creating outstanding content;
• Experience in monitoring and evaluating team performance and delivering on KPIs within a project framework.
