Egg Post Production is looking to recruit an experienced QAR and CAR Technician.

The successful applicant will have at least 3 years of relevant technical post production experience in a similar role.

The QAR and CAR Technician sits at a critical point in the post production process and requires someone with a strong technical background. This is a non-creative role for an organised individual who works well under pressure.

The QAR and CAR Technician’s responsibilities will include:

• QAR/QC on all broadcast files, final deliverables, and tape deliveries – audio and visual.
• Delivery of all final master/screening files in multiple file formats at broadcast specification.
• Digital deliveries of final masters.
• Support documents for master delivery to client.
• Basic DVD authoring
• Monitor and process relevant internal documentation.
• Keep up to date with latest technologies, file types, broadcast specification etc.
• Provide technical support for the following: Digital Content Delivery, Transcoding, Archive, Post-Production, and Ingest Operations
• Manage project rushes: Ingest Rushes, transcode footage, sync, etc.
• Experience in resolving technical (both hardware and software) and operational challenges
• Manage audio and video codecs for file compression and conversions
• Communicate with team on status of all jobs in progress.
