School of Informatics and Creative Arts
The School of Informatics and Creative Arts is a multi-disciplinary school, located in the PJ Carroll Building since 2010, which spans and binds together areas of digital technology and the creative arts. The School’s mission is to CREATE an environment to foster Collaboration, Research and Enterprise in Arts and Technology through Education.
The School has three departments:
- Department of Computing Science and Mathematics;
- Department of Visual and Human-Centred Computing;
- Department of Creative Arts, Media and Music.

Part-Time Assistant Lecturer in Digital Imaging and Data Wrangling (New part-time Springboard programme - Certificate in Data Wrangling and Digital Imaging)
Job Specification:
- The position calls for a highly motivated individual who will have a proven track record in working in the TV and/or Film industry.
- Candidates should demonstrate experience in all of the following areas:
- A thorough understanding of High-end Digital Camera Systems and Formats,
- Competency with LTO / RAID / NAS Backup systems,
- Competency in the area of Data Integrity Checking using relevant software.
- Competency in the use of Avid Media Composer, DAVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere.
- Candidates should have suitable qualifications and/or demonstrate an extensive portfolio of relevant experience in commercial environments.
- Candidates should demonstrate their experience in the area of digital imaging, data wrangling and digital audio-visual archiving.
Salary Scale: Assistant Lecturer €56.06 per hour
