Virgin Media Television has an immediate vacancy for a Promotions Producer within Red Hot Creative.
Reporting to the Creative Lead Promotions, the following is a summary of the primary requirements of each position and does not outline all of the duties and responsibilities for these positions.
Main Duties:
- Writing, producing and editing on-screen promotions while ensuring the campaigns are within brand guidelines.
- Creating channel image spots and presentation items.
- Creating promotional items as required for us off air, such as online and Facebook clips.
- Directing edits, graphic sessions, single camera shoots and voice over sessions.
- Identifying and compiling plans for credit squeezes and menus in relation to air time usage.
- To assist the Sr. Promo Producer & Creative Lead Promotions with admin duties when required.
The above list is not exhaustive. You will be expected to perform duties as necessitated by your changing role and the overall business objectives of the Company, as directed.
Employee Specification
Essential:
- Should be creative capable of producing innovative campaigns to promote all areas of the programming department.
- Should be a self-starter who is able to work on their own initiative.
- Will have good script writing, editing and design skills which are essential, and has the ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of Avid Editing Software is essential and working in a Unity ISIS environment is an advantage.
- Should have 3-5 years’ experience in a promotions department, although candidates with relevant design and/or commercial experience will be considered.
Desirable:
- Experience of working in a Television Station or other Broadcasting facility.
- Working knowledge of After Effects.
- A degree in Media or a relevant creative subject such as design.
