Motion Graphics Designer

Virgin Media Television is looking for a highly creative and enthusiastic Motion Graphics Designer to join our growing, dynamic visual design team within Virgin Media Televisions in-house creative team – Red Hot Creative.

Specific Tasks/ Duties:

Main Outputs:

• Responsible for delivering in devising and creating best-in-class motion graphics for Virgin Media Television programming and advertising partners of VMTV.
• Working with the broader Visual Design team, provide creative responses to briefs from internal teams from within VMTV and advertising clients.
• When required, assist in the development of opening sequences and graphics for Virgin Media television content
• Assist the broader Motion Graphics team in other programming assets, as required
• Oversee projects from concept through development to completion, liaising with producers, directors and editors.

• Work closely with Red Hot Creative’s Content Creation Hub to provide visually striking and effective motion graphics for advertising content as required.
• Work with VMTV cap gen in creating and implementing in show graphics where required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Timely delivery of visually striking and impactful motion graphics.
• Work collaboratively with the broader Visual Design team to meet all client briefs.

Working Conditions and Environment

• You will be working with a team of multi-disciplinary creatives (motion, animation, UX etc) that provides assets for Virgin Media Television and advertising partners of Virgin Media Television

The Person:

Essential Experience

• 5+ years' experience working as a Motion Graphic Designer.
• A relevant qualification
• Full knowledge of the Adobe suite (Illustrator, PhotoShop, After Effects)
• Working knowledge of Avid Maestro an advantage

• A highly creative thinker, with a proven track record in great design
• Exceptional attention to detail
• The ability to work both collaboratively within a team but also on your own initiative.
• Ability to multi task in a high paced, dynamic and creative environment
• Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines, managing own workload and meeting deliveries.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - comfortable in liaising with multiple stakeholders on any given project.
