Production Assistant

Reporting to Production Manager

As part of Hasbro Entertainment, Boulder Media is building a new feature animation division. We are excited to offer a talented Production Assistant the opportunity to join our very successful and established animation studio as we expand into a new area. We will be producing the first CG theatrical feature film made entirely in Ireland. The movie is based on a very well-known Hasbro property and we can’t wait to bring it to the big screen for the first time.

As Production Assistant you will work with production staff to deliver the demands of the movie. You will be at the core of many interesting, important and diverse problems within the studio.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare rounds for the VFX Supervisor and take notes on department action items.
• Take detailed notes during meetings between departments and follow up on action items.
• Check in with departments to ensure they are keeping on schedule and communicate any changes in progress to the VFX Supervisor.
• Creating and maintaining Shotgun pages with up to date information.
• Ensure schedules are maintained and up to date for departmental review.
• Help schedule reviews and other key milestone events for departments you support.
• Track each department’s assignment through to completion and ensure deadlines are met.
• Keep open lines of communication with the crew, supervisors, production manager and coordinators in other departments.
• Liaise with other departments to resolve any issues that may arise.
• Effectively communicate priorities, issues, and pertinent production information to crew.

Person Specification

• Experience in production environment is desirable.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
• Must be extremely organised and have excellent time-management skills.
• Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Needs to be a team player to achieve results.
• Shotgun Software experience preferred but not necessary.
• Feature animation experience preferred.
• A good understanding of the animation pipeline would be preferable.
• Should be comfortable working in an environment to tight deadlines.
