Boulder Media requires an Editor 

Job title: Editor
Reporting to: Director                        

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join the Boulder Media team in the role of Editor. Here at Boulder we pride ourselves on the quality of our work and the successful candidate will be expected to create very high-end animatics, complete with all the sound effects and music beds of a finished cartoon, as well as creating offline assemblies.

The Editor works to a creative brief set by the Director.  The brief shall include both the creative requirements for any given block of work and also deadlines for its completion. 

Responsibilites 

• The creation of Animatics on a fast paced, action packed, cartoon
• Working closely with the Director to achieve a unique creative vision
• Ensuring high technical standards of all deliverables.
• Creating animatics
• Creating offline assemblies
• Delivering to Production/Sound/Online
• Tracking and logging incoming voice material, to include approved final takes and any other director comments. 
• Adding sfx and music to assembled animatics to help present/ sell the show, creating clear instructions for the animators
• Amendments to any of the above following the Director's instructions
• Presentations of any of the above to Director, Producers or Clients 
• Tracking editorial changes on any of the above. 

Person Specification 

• 3 years’ experience working as an Editor
• A background in animation
• High creativity and storytelling ability
• Excellent file management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to adapt to established processes and workflows as well as suggest improved ones, work to demanding deadlines and have a positive attitude
• Good interpersonal skills
• Keen knowledge of sound design
• Knowledge of Storyboard Pro and Premiere Pro is an advantage.
