Irish TV requires a Graphic Designer 

Irish TV is Ireland’s first and only international television channel launched in 2014 offering local content to a global audience. Catering primarily to Irish people and those of Irish descent, as well as the culturally curious interested in all things Irish, the 24/7 channel is a go-to resource for the Irish diaspora which amounts to hundreds of millions of people the world over. 

Throughout Ireland the channel’s flagship County Matters series comprises weekly half hour shows of news and views from each of the 32 counties. Stories around the Irish communities in the UK are also broadcast weekly that include Out and About in the UK/Manchester and Midlands Life.

The channel is currently undergoing considerable expansion as it launches its new season line-up to include a Saturday night chat show and increased news and current affairs coverage.

Irish TV are looking for a Graphic Designer to join our exciting team in Irish TV's HQ.

Job Title: Graphic Designer
Location: Irish TV, Westport
Reporting to: PR and Marketing Manager
Hours of work: Full time, (Monday – Friday)
Salary:DOE

Main Duties

Responsible for high quality and professional graphic design for all Irish TV departments. The role will involve working with internal departments on a diverse range of projects, web and print.

Principle Responsibilities

• Website design, updating and layout
• After effects and motion graphics for Irish TV
• Supporting the digital online marketing team
• Artwork for print
• Photoshop and In design skills
• Final Cut pro editing
• Creative planning and design
• Visual design innovation and creation
• Marketing materials design
• Brand awareness and monitoring
• Team leadership
• Responsibility for consistency of the brand in all IRISH TV offices and departments
• Opportunity to design and develop IRISH TV’s quarterly magazine

Requirements:

• Provide a strong digital portfolio displaying creative, user-friendly and clean designs
•  2 – 3 years experience in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in multimedia, graphic design, web design or related field
• Strong written and verbal communications
• Ability to work well in an office environment and as part of a team
• Ability to clearly articulate concepts and recommendations for designs
• Creativity skills while ability to stay on brief and meet deadlines
