Setanta Transmissions requires a Presentation Scheduling Assistant
Description
To support the programming department in all scheduling and promotional related activities. This is a contract position for a period of four months.
Responsibilities
- Entering and continuous updating of detailed format information regarding each programme into a specific scheduling software package.
- Create and maintain the daily transmission schedules.
- Contribute to and help implement a presentation philosophy as far as spot placement.
- Work with ad agency to schedule optimally the paid for commercials in line with the network presentation philosophy.
- Work with On-air promos and marketing to create effective systems.
- Collect and maintain broadcast commercial formats for the transmission scheduling department. This entails entering and updating detailed format information regarding each programme onto specific scheduling software.
- Assist promotions department in administration related tasks such as logging trailer information into scheduling software and number tracking.
- Reconcile transmission schedule with as run log on a daily basis.
- Create daily back up folder for transmission operators with information on back up programming and interstitial materials.
- Obtain running orders for live programming from producers and update schedule with break patterns and on/off air times.
- Relay any running orders back to contacts in other Setanta channels if they are simulcasting with our feed.
- Deal with day to day scheduling queries over the phone or in tx suites.
- Viewing and logging interstitial materials whilst ensuring they meet with broadcast requirements.
Candidates must have strong administration skills and excellent attention to detail. A sound knowledge of sport and the broadcast industry is preferable but not essential. Please Note this is not a production role and candidates interested in this field need not apply.
