Windmill Lane Pictures requires an IT Engineer
Windmill Lane Pictures are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their busy Engineering team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in an IT Administration role.
Responsibilities
Administration and support of the entire IT infrastructure of a state of the art Post Production Facility.
Skill Requirements
The Candidate is expected to be proficient in a number of technologies commonly used in an enterprise environment including:
- 2 years + in a Linux support role or similar strong Linux skills (Either RHCSA, RHCSE, LPIC-1 or Comptia Linux +)
- 2 years + in a Microsoft Windows first level desktop support role (MS Office, Outlook, Win7, etc)
- Experience of webservers/public facing infrastructure (HTTP LAMP Stack, FTP, Exchange or equivalent)
- Knowledge of network infrastructure - firewalls, switches, routers, load balancers.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols and routing protocols such as (FTP, HTTP, SSH, NFS, SMB, IGRP, OSPF, SMTP,)
- Knowledge and experience of one or more scripting languages such as BASH/PERL/PYTHON/RUBY/TSCH/KORN
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Server Operating Systems - Active Directory/DNS/DHCP
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills( Including Server and Desktop Hardware troubleshooting)
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet critical deadlines
- BSc in Computer Science or related qualification preferred.
The ideal candidate will also have some experience in the following:
- Video/Audio editing software (Avid Media Composer, FCP, Avid Pro Tools, Adobe CC)
- Apple Mac OS/IOS
- VB.net/ Excel VB macros (Distinct advantage)
- Cisco CCNA or equivalent (Distinct Advantage)
- MySql databases, SQL 2008/2012, ORACLE
- VMware/Red Hat KVM or equivalent virtualization platforms
