Main Purpose of Job: Ireland AM Producers lead and direct presenters, reporters and researchers under the direction of the Series Producer. Full of ideas, they must show great initiative, sound editorial judgement & demonstrate a precise understanding of what makes informative and entertaining television.

Responsible to: Series Producer

Liaison with: Newsroom, Broadcast, Commercial and Technical Staff

Main tasks of Job

• Controls programme editorial under the direction of the Series Producer
• Gallery Outputs Live reacting to breaking news live on air & briefs presenters
• Drives initiatives daily within team to achieve highest broadcast standards
• Liaises with relevant departments optimizing planning with: news, legal, commercial, cameras, accounts and IPU
• Overviews & Plans OBs, VT content and lives reports into daily show
• Works with commercial department and partners to ensure that our editorial and commercial interest work to mutual benefit
• Develops and Originates High Impact Editorial Series
• Leads and inspires researchers to book high impact content and delegate duties appropriately
• Initiates and leads Ireland AM social media activity
• Responsible for administration of rosters, purchase orders, invoices.

• Excellent TV script writing skills

• Excellent Communication/Interpersonal Skills
• Excellent IT skills
• Keen Social Media user

Desirable

• Experience working in Daytime TV
• Live TV Outputting Experience
• Broadcast/Communications Degree/Masters
• Editing skills
