We are looking for a Production Manager to work on our sports contract for TG4.

Beidh comh-ordnú teicniúil agus léirithe go laethúil mar phríomh-dhualgas ar an mbainisteoir léirithe. Beidh an fócas go príomhdha ar an ollsoláthar spóirt beo do TG4.

The primary role of the production manager is the day-to-day coordination of technical and non technical production requirements within the Sports Production Unit of Nemeton TV. With a primary focus on, but not limited to, the live sports output contract for TG4.

Beidh an té a cheapfar freagrach ar bhonn léiriúcháin do na léiritheoirí sraithe GAA Beo/Rugbaí Beo, ach freagrach ar an iomlán don mBainisteoir Ginearálta.

You will report on a production basis to the series producers of GAA BEO/Rugbaí BEO and you will report directly to the General Manager.

 PRÍOMH-FHREAGRACHTAÍ/MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pleanáil teicniúil léiriúcháin. Technical production planning
• Buiséadaí d’áiseanna léiriúcháin. Production facilities budgets
• Comh-ordnú léiriúcháin. Coordination of productions
•  Bainistiú agus riarachán le soláthróirí. Administration and management of third party technical suppliers

RIACHTANAIS/REQUIREMENTS:

•  Understand the technical processes involved in television production, including camera, lighting, sound, editing and in particular live outside broadcasting
•  Have highly developed communication skills
•  Have strong problem-solving skills
•  Be able to work effectively, and with diplomacy and sensitivity, with all members of the production team, other contributors, members of the public, third party suppliers and Ireland’s top sporting organisation
• Have strong budgeting skills
•  Pay precise attention to detail and have a methodical approach to wor
• Know how to ensure that all necessary licenses and clearances have   been obtained for a production
• Have excellent organisational skills
• Be able to conceptualise broadcast layout
•  Have strong IT skills and knowledge of the relevant computerpackages
•  Understand how to comply with regulations relating to liability and indemnity when shooting at different locations
• Have knowledge of the requirements of the relevant health and safety legislation and procedures

PRÍOMH-DHUALGAIS/MAIN ACTIVITIES:

•  Put in place all technical requirements on a production basis as outlined by the series producers or head of sports
•  Prepare and monitor on going basis production budgets, cost reports and financial reconciliations in conjunction with the accounts department
•  Organise the set-up of various productions, including preparing schedules, booking crews and equipment, preparing call sheets, and making sure all administration is taken care of, including risk assessments, planning sheets, filming permission, etc.
•  Support and liaise with clients as necessary

TAITHÍ/EXPERIENCE:

•  Taithí léiriúchan nó craolta seachtracha ag leibhéal sinsearach. Production experience as an established production or senior position on outside broadcasts.
•  Ar a laghad 3 bliana taithí. At least three years experience of outside broadcasts
