Camera Department Technician

Reporting to:
Technical Manager

Summary of Responsibility:
Panavision Ireland is seeking a Camera Department Technician for a permanent position in their busy and expanding Camera Department. The candidate will actively prep, ship & receive equipment, inform relevant staff of any likely issues, return equipment back into service as soon as possible & carry out any necessary tests etc. Work within a team and promote a safe working environment and a culture of excellent service to maintain the high standard Panavision expects.

Principle Duties and Tasks

• To assemble camera equipment, prior to shipping, and ensure that equipment works to the manufacture specifications and the accurate function of various components
• To carry out minor maintenance within Technicians capabilities and degrees of technical knowledge
• Identify potential faults to equipment and be able to decide best course of action in order to rectify/eliminate
• All checks to involve test room cleanliness and correct product presentation
• Prepare and check all batteries, chargers and filters on consignments.
• Keep track of all shortages and report daily to supervisor
• Participate in the bar code system by affixing and maintaining bar codes and entering data into system for tracking
• Ship and receive equipment accurately and in a timely manner ensuring all system data is updated and correct. Receive sub hire equipment notifying the correct internal contact
• Follow the company standard procedures for possible equipment damage by clients
• Other duties as required
