Xpose.ie, launched in May last year, and nominated for an Eircom Spider Award, is now one of the leading female targeted entertainment websites in Ireland, and the recently launched 3eTV.ie looks set to follow its success.
TV3 Digital is seeking a talented Digital Content Producer to help us shape the future of our digital platforms and grow the reach of our digital viewership in Ireland and abroad. You will be a skilled writer, with a strong sense of how to bring a story to life and captivate your audience. Experience using social media as a promotional tool will be a plus.
Main Aspects of the Role
Reporting to the Digital Content Manager, the candidate will be responsible for:
Editing and encoding TV3 on-air content and other video assets for 3player and tv3.ie
Using the bespoke TV3 Digital Content Management System to upload content to TV3s digital distribution channels (3player, tv3.ie, UPC, Sony, Roku, apps, etc.)
Accurately manage the various programme rights requirements for individual programmes and platforms
Create engaging, topical articles for Xpose.ie and 3eTV.ie, ensuring TV3s digital platforms are at the forefront of breaking entertainment news stories
Liaise with third party content providers to ensure TV3s digital content is appealing, accurate and timely for users
Liaise with other TV3 departments to ensure TV3s digital output remains fresh, innovative and exciting for users
Liaise closely with the commercial department to ensure requests from our advertising partners are dealt with in an accurate and timely fashion
Promote all articles generated through TV3s social media channels in an engaging way to drive traffic and build rapport with users
Respond to users queries and requests for information
The successful candidate should have:
Experience in working on Content Management Systems for business web-sites
Experience in editing and encoding video assets
Ideally a background in online, print, radio or television journalism
Flexibility in working shifts this position requires evening and weekend work
An eye for engaging online content
Excellent written, visual and oral communications skills
Knowledge of TV production process (particularly editing) an advantage
A commercial focus
The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrable skills as a creative thinker & excellent organisational skills
Knowledge of how content is organised: Metadata, Navigation, Search and Layout
Knowledge of HTML an advantage
Hours
This role requires shift work outside of regular office hours, including weekends our Digital Content team cover the following hours:
Mon-Fri 07:00 23:00
Sat/Sun 14:00 24:00
Note these hours may change slightly around key programming events (e.g. The X Factor, Champions League)
There are three shifts:
Early Mon - Fri 07:00 17:30
Weekend Mon/Tue/Fri 13:00 23:00 Sat/Sun 14:00 24:00
Late Wed/Thur 13:00 23:00
