Camera Production Lead - Virgin Media Television

Main tasks of Job:
- Manage rosters for the ENG camera team including holiday and absence. Undertake the accurate reporting of staff expenses, toil, overtime, holiday approvals, absence tracking
- Provide a leadership support function to teams and motivate staff to achieve production goals including regular 1:1 and team meetings
- Assign personnel and resources (including kit and accessories) to programme production teams to meet their requirements
- Support the Head of Broadcast Operations with planning and delivery of third party Studio bookings, Outside Broadcasts, and events
- Aid in Studio production output for third party clients
- Liaise with third party clients in relation to production requirements
- Liaise with Tech in relation to tickets raised for kit repair/replacement
- Maintain the existing freelance pool and supporting documentation for Independent Contractors that provide ENG and location sound backfill
- Actively seek to improve employee and team engagement
- The above list is not exhaustive. You will be expected to perform duties as necessitated by your changing role and the overall business objectives of the Company, as directed.
About the person:
- Have at least 3 years’ experience in broadcast
- Knowledge of television production processes including file-based technologies
- Good disposition to keep calm under unexpected issues
- Unrelenting attention to detail and quality
- Have excellent organisational skills
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills
- Be familiar with operating systems like ScheduALL, Workday or equivalent
- Be familiar with operational & production requirements for OBs and studio events
- An understanding of Health and Safety in a technical operational environment
Standard hours are Monday to Friday – early, late or weekend shift cover may be required occasionally
