Brown Bag Films is seeking a Legal Executive in Dublin.

Please Note: This is a Fixed Purpose Contract for Maternity Cover

Working within a highly dynamic and creative business environment, this role offers the right candidate a wonderful opportunity to join an exciting high growth company. This position will be responsible for the full administration of a busy Legal Department.

Key Responsibilities

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drafting, review and execution of freelance and third party contracts;
• Helping with negotiation, review and drafting of commercial contracts;
• Research on a wide range of company and client legal issues (this can be anything form intellectual property law to employment law to property law);
• Drafting/helping to draft memos and reports to managers and/or clients;
• Maintenance of script clearance and correspondence trackers, and monitoring of outstanding matters for clearance and/or completion;
• Drafting, review and filing of all non-disclosure and assignment of rights agreements;
• Assisting production with licensing permissions;
• Managing end of production delivery to commissioning companies (this essentially involves reviewing all legal agreements for each of our productions and delivery of copies to clients);
• Archiving, updating of databases, template review and related matters;
• Helping to manage Brown Bag’s trademark and IP portfolio;
• Filing, maintenance and review of storage systems and other administrative tasks on an as-needed basis.

Key Requirements

PERSON SPECIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• Have a legal background with some experience working in a law firm or be a recent graduate
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Task Driven, self-motivated, and proactive
• Must be open to direction
• Must demonstrate attention to detail
• Experiencing working in the media sector an advantage but not essential
