GENERAL
Screen Scene has a long history of technical excellence and diligence in its handling of client's media and data. The role of the Avid Assistant is to ensure the correct ingest of media and supporting operators throughout the offline and online process.
SKILLS / Qualifications
The Avid Assistant requires a minimum of 1 - 2years experience in a Post Production facility. Essential requirements:
• Avid software, hardware and shared storage solutions.
• Knowledge of common camera file types and codecs.
• Knowledge of transcoding, syncing, multi-cam grouping, and frame-rates.
• Solid media management practices.
• Basic video signal knowledge and know-how.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Good time management and problem solving skills, ability to use own initiative and can work to very tight deadlines.
An ability to operate the facilities preferred software and hardware associated with this role is crucial as is the ability to keep up to speed with developments in that hard ware and software.
In line with all roles in the facility the Avid Assistant will be able to interface easily with clients and their fellow post production colleagues and will represent the facility well at all times.
