TV3 requires a Development Producer
Job Title: Development Producer (EP)
Main Purpose of Job: Support administration and development of Commissioning and Production Strategies
Responsible to: Head of Commissioning / Head of Factual
Liaison with: Broadcast, Programming and Finance Departments
Main tasks of Job
- Manage workflow to ensure that commissioning strategies of the Head of Commissioning / Head of Factual are delivered.
- Provide admin support for production
- Ensure all international deliverables and distribution needs are met.
- Liaise and help provide administrative and editorial support to Head of Commissioning / Head of Factual, including review and shortlisting of Commissioning portal submissions.
- Support both internal and external production with editorial and administrative needs as required.
- Review and assess production budgets as required.
- Take SP lead on projects as role requires.
- Liaise with broadcast department in relation to provision of needs for editorial teams in conjunction with production co-ordinator
- Support management team in relation to wider content needs

Employee Specification
Essential
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in development or senior production strategy role
- Intimate understanding of practical elements of production within a broadcast and television production environment, including awareness of broader independent production sector and international funding models.
- Ability to learn and operate with initiative in terms of meeting the needs of production and content team
- Ability to maintain communication across broadcast and financial departments
Desirable
- Self-Driven, team player with ability to prioritise while maintaining core duties
- Strong communication skills and ability to problem solve and trouble shoot
- Technically proficient across MS Office products including Word and Excel.
- Ability to work in a pressurised environment
- Flexibility to a variety of disciplines and roles
- A good working knowledge of budgets and financial reporting would be advantageous.
