Waddell Media is seeking to recruit a Head of Finance

Duties and Responsibilities

Management of one member of staff the Head of Finance will take over full responsibility for the Finance function at Waddell Media which will include (but not limited to):

• Production of monthly management accounts across all companies
• Statutory year-end reporting
• Production accounting across all productions
• Funding applications to statutory bodies (eg Invest NI, NI Screen, BAI, IFB, BFI etc)
• Point of initial contact for auditors, bank, HMRC etc
• Assisting Head of Production in producing programme budgets
• Variance analysis and reporting to Senior Management Team
• Company secretarial duties

Person Specification

Essential

Recognised accountancy qualification
Extensive post qualification experience in a similar role (5years +)
Advanced Excel/Word skills, Powerpoint skill’s an advantage
Extensive experience of accounting package such as Sage, experience of a production finance system such as PMI, Movie Magic etc or equivalent would be a distinct advantage
Excellent communication skills, ability to explain financial issues to non-finance staff


Desirable
Previous experience of working within the media industry, (Broadcaster, independent production company etc)
