GROUP TREASURY MANAGER (based in Belfast)
Reports to: Group Finance Director
Purpose of Job: To have functional responsibility for the Group Treasury and Liquidity aspects for all subsidiaries within the Group – Company Secretarial Duties – Group Insurance cover, SIP Scheme, Bonus Scheme and LTIP administration
Main Duties:To provide an effective and efficient Treasury information and advisory service to all levels of Management within the UTV Group.
* To manage the Treasury function within Group policy guidelines.
* To develop Treasury policies and ensure effective internal payment controls are implemented within the UTV Group.
* To be responsible for the preparation of monthly management Treasury reports.
* To be responsible for the coordination and preparation of documentation relating to repayment of principal and interest of Group borrowing facilities.
* To be responsible for consolidating cash forecasts for the Group.
* To ensure compliance with loan covenants and all legal requirements pertaining to the Group's borrowing facilities.
* To manage the Treasury Department's staff and resources.
* To manage the relationships and interface with the Group's bankers to ensure adequacy of funds/efficient use of such funds.
* To have designated responsibility for all issues relating to approved borrowings, deposits, interest rate derivatives and foreign exchange in line with the Group Treasury policy.
* To provide Treasury information and advice to budget holders within the Group.
* To have designated responsibility for the risk management of interest rates, foreign exchange and counterparty exposure within the Group in line with the Group Treasury policy.
* To support other members of the Finance department as required in respect to Company Secretarial, insurance cover and compliance issues.
* To represent UTV at events/functions as required.
* To keep abreast of developments within Treasury Management, Company Secretarial, trade mark and insurance cover areas.
* To undertake any other duties in respect to Treasury Management identified by the Group Finance Director.
PERSONNEL SPECIFICATION
Education:
- A relevant qualification in Accountancy, Banking or Treasury essential
- A recognised professional Treasury qualification desirable
Experience:
- Minimum of five years recent post qualification experience within a large commercial/professional office environment essential
- Experience in a plc environment desirable
- Experience in negotiating loan documentation and banking covenants
- Experience working within Treasury policy guidelines
- Company Secretarial experience desirable
- Proven experience of building and maintaining positive working relationships with banks, advisors and other relevant organisations
Knowledge: Working knowledge of:
- Treasury related products swaps, options and Forward Contracts.
- Hedging strategies – Interest Rates & Foreign Exchange.
- Financing – Capital Markets, Corporate banking
- Long term and short term committed and uncommitted facilities.
- BACS & SEPA Electronic payment systems
- Group Retail Banking services
- Consolidation of group cashflows
- Treasury best practice segregation of duties
