Setanta Sports  has an urgent requirement for a Promo Producer on an initial 6 month contract term. Please apply to fiona.connolly @ setanta.com no later than Monday October 6^th with showreel, cover letter and resume.

To provide a high quality, professional programme edit and on air promotion service for the Setanta Sports International. To facilitate the smooth operation of all Setanta Sports International video editing operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for a challenge, has a strong sporting interest, a good sporting knowledge and would enjoy a diverse, demanding role within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and edit weekly promos in accordance with the channel programme plan.
• Working with a voiceover artist
• Working knowledge of Pro Tools and its abilities
• Facilitate cross channel promotion as and when required.
• Create title sequences, backgrounds, idents, bumpers and various graphics when required.
• Produce additional material (fillers, highlights) when required.
• Export master sequences with correct compression settings for use on air or across social media and web platforms. Must have the ability to deliver material with the highest broadcast standards
• Maintain and administer the promos, graphics and additional material for the channel with a system that is consistent with the needs of the channel, the presentation department and Transmissions and co-ordinate the activity.
• Manage the music library and keep record of what is used for logging music returns.
• Create and maintain promo master footage on hard drives.
• Work alongside other promo producers.

Skills Required:

• Final Cut Pro, After Effects and Photoshop required. Cinema 4D or similar advantageous. Excel and office package preferred.
• Promo Script writing.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working in a similar environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to liaise with all levels within the organisation.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time.
• Dedicated team player with flexibility to adapt and grow as responsibilities increase.
• Interest & knowledge in/of sports
