Communications Executive, UTV Ireland
Reports to: Communications Manager, UTV Ireland
Purpose of Job: To assist in the development and implementation of a high profile pro-active communications programme for UTV Ireland.
Main Duties:
- To contribute to communications and marketing plans for UTV Ireland and other Group companies in Ireland as required
- To handle media enquiries and prepare responses within given deadlines
- To implement communications and marketing campaigns
- To prepare and coordinate programme material, write press releases, social media and other publicity material
- To develop and maintain productive relationships with the media and other organisations
- To organise programme launches and other UTV Ireland corporate events, assisting with invitations, managing RSVPs, coordinating and leading UTV promotional teams at events
- To identify and maximise sponsorship opportunities
- To coordinate internal communications with Heads of Departments – write weekly team briefs; update Intranet; organise staff events
- To manage viewer interaction; answer phone enquiries and write / draft responses to letters and emails
- To manage media monitoring and alert management to items which impact on UTV Ireland and
- To manage TV schedules and programme billings
- To maintain corporate/media basis
- To set up and attend photocalls and manage photographic files
- To manage merchandising
- To facilitate tours of UTV Studios in Dublin
- To manage Communications Department administration, filing, travel bookings
- To assist in the development of the UTV Ireland website/social media
- To represent UTV as required and to participate in the full range of group activities as required
- To support Communications Manager as required
