Job Title: Graphic Designer ( x2 Positions)
Reports to: Head of Creative, UTV Ireland
Purpose of Job: To design, develop and produce creative material for internal and external clients
Main Duties: • To develop ideas and concepts across a range of UTV Ireland output
• To produce commercials and promotions from concept to post production
• To design programme graphics for UTV Ireland output
• To design and produce internal promotional material for on screen and print
• To write scripts for commercials and productions
• To liaise with external clients in creative productions
• To undertake DSLR camera operations as required
• To work independently and as a team member
• To represent the Company externally as required
• To keep abreast of developments in the industry, especially those related to new media projects
Personal Specification
Education: Third level education, in a design related subject essential
Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in a commercial environment as a creative or graphic designer essential. (Three years’ experience desirable)
Experience in a broadcasting environment desirable
Knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and After Effects essential
Skills: Ability to interpret and implement a brief within time and budgetary constraints
