A first look image of Pierce Brosnan as boxing trainer Brendan Ingle in Giant has been released. Production is currently taking place in Leeds, England.
True Brit Entertainment have released a first look image of Pierce Brosnan (The Last Rifleman) and Amir El-Masry (Limbo) in boxing drama Giant, currently filming in Leeds. The film is written and directed by Rowan Athale (Gangs of London).
Giant is based on the true story of British-Yemeni boxer Prince Naseem “Naz” Hamed (El-Masry) and his ascent to a world championship under the tutelage of Irish-born boxing trainer Brendan Ingle (Brosnan).
Originally set to shoot interiors in Malta, the production moved back to the UK to utilize the new Independent Film Tax Credit.
Giant is produced by Mark Lane (Tea Shop Productions), Kevin Sampson (White Star Productions), and Stuart Ford (AGC Studios chairman and CEO) with financing from AGC Studios and BondIt Media Capital.
Executive producers are Sylvester Stallone and Braden Aftergood of Balboa Productions, AGC Studios’ Miguel Palos, Zach Garrett and Anant Tamirisa, BondIt’s Matthew Helderman, Luke Taylor and Tyler Gould, Michael Ewing and True Brit Entertainment’s Zygi Kamasa.
True Brit has UK distribution rights with AGC International handling international sales on the title.
