Irish Digital Lab Develops Production Software

27 Nov 2008 :
The Digital Media Cube is currently a developing a web based tool specifically for the production industry code named 'ProductionApp' which will help ease management of production information for television and film.

This innovative tool will streamline the creation of unit lists, call sheets, movement orders and more. The application will allow users to save time and money through increased efficiency and will be provided using SaaS (Software as a Service), a highly innovative business model. This means a low cost of ownership for the user coupled with continual ongoing updates to the product in line with user feedback. Users will always be on the latest version and ‘ProductionApp’ will always grow in accordance with feedback from the entire user base.

‘ProductionApp’ will offer a free plan to its users for core features and will charge a small monthly fee for its premium package. The project is collaboration between Warrior Films and Web Splash. These two companies were selected to participate in the state sponsored CREATE program run by the Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT) where ProductionApp is currently being developed.
