Jack Flinter lives permanently on the edge. Twentyish and from a middle class background, he gets through life as best he can, selling a little cannabis, sometimes drinking too much, sometimes undergoing hard times. His girlfriend Alice is fed up with it. His mate Des is completely losing it. And just as things are going to explode, Jack meets Isabelle, a German tourist. Their adventure lasts a few days and nights, and then all Jack's troubles come to the fore once more. He has to make a decision : sink or swim.
