Two Kerry brothers, Dan and Paudie O'Neill have a lifelong dream, to buy and train a greyhound pup capable of winning the National Championships. Regrettably, after years of training various dogs, their ambition has always been twarthed. Now, however, things take a turn for the better, when Dan persuades his reluctant brother Paudie to invest in purchasing another young greyhound. The dog which is christened Most Important, shows excellent racing potential early on, which is a great encouragement. The brothers have always had a standing arrangement - Paudie trains the dogs and Dan pays the bills. But life is never simple and wishes can be dangerous. As Most Important goes from success to success on the Greyhound track, the men's dreams turn out differently than expected.
