This series follows Dr John Dunlop as he journeys through the Republic of Ireland. Dr Dunlop, former moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, explores the religious, economical and social changes that are happening South of the Border. He talks to people all over the country who explain how the attitudes and the beliefs of Irish society have been transformed. He gives his own views as to how he perceives the Republic. He himself comes from a Presbyterian and Unionist background. The Ireland that existed prior to the Second Vatican Council and European Union is compared to the Ireland of today. He also looks at the state of the Protestant Church, both in terms of numbers and their sense of belonging in the State.
