The Moon On My Back is based on the life of the author, poet and balladeer, Pat Tierney, who tragically died. Born stigmatised with the tag 'illegitimate' in 1957 rural Ireland, Pat died stigmatised with the AIDS virus. This film is the harrowing story of one mans fight against all the obstacles that life could possibly put in front of him. This is the story of the strength of the human spirit.
