The series directed and co-written by Neil Jordan (The Crying Game) broke records last June when it became the most highly watched Sky Original Production premiere since season one of ‘Fortitude’.
‘Riviera’ stars Julia Stiles as Georgina Clios, a newlywed whose husband is killed in a yacht explosion. Other cast members include Nora Arnezeder (Safe House), Monica Bellucci (Irreversible), Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones) and Adrian Lester (Hustle).
The Sky Atlantic series produced by Archery Pictures will become available on the service following a deal between distributor Sky Vision and VP of Global Acquisitions and Co-Productions at Sundance now, Aurelie de Troyer.
Despite the successful launch of the series Jordan has urged critics to disassociate him from his credits as co-writer and director, claiming the scripts written by he and John Banville were reworked by producers.
