In 2008 The Element completed a promo for the Beijing Olympics to showcase their recently installed Autodesk Flame and highlight the character animation, compositing and grading expertise within its creative team. FIlmed on the new Red One 4K Digital Film Camera by DOP Fergal O'Hanlon in Greystones, this fast paced commercial piece shows a professional runner being chased by terracotta warriors across the Great Wall of China. The promo was offlined in Media Composer Adrenaline by Rossa Lundberg and the terracotta warriors were designed and animated by James Kenny using Maya. The background plates were built by Gary Gill and sent onto Flame. Dust and Particle Effects were created by Diarmuid Kelly. The commercial was subsequently onlined in Avid DS by Dan Moran with Final Compositing and Grading by Alan Foley in Autodesk Flame. This TV Commercial has been aired on Setanta Television and is entered into The Shark Awards this September. |
