The Hollywood Foreign Press has announced the nominees for the 78th Golden Globes.
Normal People, Wolfwalkers, and Brendan Gleeson have been nominated for awards, which were revealed by Sarah Jessica Parker and Taraji P. Henson at a virtual announcement on Wednesday, February 3rd.
The Golden Globes recognise and honour the best of the year’s film and television achievements across categories in musical or comedy and drama for both formats.
Element Pictures smash hit BBC series; Normal People leads the way for Irish talent and productions with three nominations including Best Limited Series or TV Film and Daisy Edgar-Jones in the Best Actress in a Limited Series or TV Film category.
Brendan Gleeson has been nominated for his depiction of Donald Trump in HBO’s The Comey Rule in the Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or TV Film category.
Cartoon Saloon’s Oscar-hopeful Wolfwalkers has been nominated in the Best Animated Feature Film category alongside Disney’s Soul.
Irish actors Paul Mescal (Normal People), Jessie Buckley (I’m Thinking of Ending Things), and Saoirse Ronan (Ammonite) missed out on nominations for this year’s awards ceremony.
