The writing team behind Brown Bag’s highly successful children’s series, ‘Octonauts’, has picked up a Daytime Emmy award at this year’s ceremony in Los Angeles.
Brown Bag and partners Silvergate Media won the Emmy award for ‘Outstanding Writing in a Preschool Animated Program’.
Brown Bag & Silvergate Media’s writing team included: Adam Idelson. Gabe Pulliam, Rich Fogel, Kevin Burke, Nicole Dubuc, Mark Huckerby, Nick Ostler, Chris Wyatt, Sam Morrison, Gordan Bressack, and Kevin Hopps.
Irish production companies Brown Bag & 9 Story received a combined total of 15 Daytime Emmy nominations back in March. These included nominations in a number of categories such as writing, directing, sound mixing, sound editing, title & main graphics, and best children’s animated & preschool children’s animated series, respectively.
Programmes that were nominated included: ‘Wild Kratts’, ‘Nature Cat’, ‘Peg + Cat’, ‘The Stinky & Dirty Show’, ‘Vampirina’, Disney’s ‘Doc McStuffins’, ‘Furze World Wonders’, ‘The Stinky & Dirty Show’, and ‘Octonauts’.
The Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards took place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Sunday, April 29th 2018.
