Jamie Dornan Joins Sam Claflin On Brian Kirk’s IRA Thriller 'Boarderland'
22 Feb 2018 : Nathan Griffin
Jamie Dornan has been announced as the latest addition to Brian Kirk’s IRA thriller ‘Boarderland’.

Dornan, who is currently enjoying the success of the final instalment of his ‘Fifty Shades’ franchise will be playing alongside Sam Clafin (‘The Hunger Games’, ‘Me Before You’).

The film, which was introduced to buyers by IMR International at Berlinale will be directed by ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Luther’ director, Brain Kirk and produced by Alan Moloney and Rebecca Brown of Parallel Film productions, along with Chris Coen of Unanimous Entertainment. The script is written by Ronan Bennett and production is expected to begin in London and Dublin during the summer.

‘Borderland’ is set in 1970s London and centres on the bloody conflict that took place between the IRA and British Government. When an IRA operative (Doran) is sent to London to head a new guerrilla warfare unit to terrorise the city, he takes the opportunity to track down the man responsible for the shooting of his wife – an SAS Captain (Clafin) who has separately been tasked with tracking down Dornan.

‘Boarderland’ is expected to receive funding from the Irish Film Board following the acceptance of a provisional proposal.

Dornan who is represented by Troika & UTA, will next be seen in ‘Untogether’, Robin Hood: Origin’, and ‘My Date With Hervé’.

While Claflin, who is represented by CAA & Independent Talent Group, will next be seen in ‘Adrift’ and ‘The Nightingale’ with Aisling Franciosi.

CAA & UTA Independent Film Group represent the US Rights.
