Fiona Ashe of the FlasheForward Screenwriters’ Academy will tutor the series of masterclasses this Summer, which will take place in the Central Hotel, Exchequer St. Dublin in various dates throughout July and August, as outlined below.
The training involves seven days of face-to-face training (including individual and group exercises), two months of writing, and weekly exchanges of feedback with other writers. Confidentiality agreements will be signed and copyright of each script will remain with the writer of that work.
It is designed for screenwriters looking to elevate their craft while working on the first draft of a feature-length screenplay, and benefit from the collaboration of a writers’ room.
This is one of the most successful models used internationally to develop screenwriters’ careers. The structure, deadlines, collaboration and feedback in a writers’ room create the optimum opportunity for success for the participating writers.
Throughout July and August, participants will write their scripts (just two pages a day) and exchange feedback.
