Biography
John is an award-winning film and television drama director. His first feature film, Conspiracy of Silence, which he wrote and directed, won many international awards and received critical acclaim. Awards include the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures ‘Freedom of Expression’ award in the US, shared with both Michael Moore for Fahrenheit 9/11 and Mel Gibson for The Passion of the Christ. John was also nominated as Best Director at the Irish Film & Television Awards. John’s screenplay for Conspiracy of Silence was developed at the Sundance Screenwriters’ Lab.

For television he has directed 2 x 90 min ‘specials’ of the popular comedy-drama series, Fat Friends, starring Alison Steadman, Ruth Jones and James Corden; a 90 min episode of The Brief, starring Alan Davies, and a 2-hour single drama, If I Had You, starring Sarah Parish. John has just finished a period of script development on several film projects and, with his producer's hat on, is about to begin the process of raising production finance.
