Brian Lally has worked in the Irish film industry for over 14 years, initially as a writer and now as a director, producer and editor.
Brian wrote the 1996 film "Boys and Men" which was produced by Parallel Films and received considerable critical acclaim. It has been screened on RTE and Film Four and in many festivals around the world.
In 2004, Brian founded Instigator Films, a production company focused on producing ground-breaking low budget features.
His 2005 short film "Aftermath" toured many international festivals including Britspotting in Germany and the Boston Underground Film Festival.
In 2008, Brian completed his feature debut, "8.5 Hours", a controversial drama set in modern Dublin. This has screened at Galway Film Fleadh, Waterford Film Festival, Mid-Ulster Film festival and set to screen at the Cannes Film Market 2009.
Brian is currently developing several feature projects.
