The 24-Hour Universal Design Challenge came to Dublin for the first time in 2009. 5 teams – comprising approximately 50 design professionals – were each teamed with a design partner, who had various types of physical disabilities. Each team had to come up with a universal design concept for a Dublin street, taking into account their design partner's particular needs, but which would be usable by everyone. And they only had 24 hours to come up with those concepts!
