Four Irish screenwriters have been selected for the Moonstone Screenwriters Lab due to go ahead at the end of this month in the Loire Valley France.

week-long programme. It is designed to assist experienced screenwriters and directors in developing their projects through a series of one-to-one meetings with established, international screenwriter Advisors from the USA and Europe. Out of eleven places available at the upcoming event four Irish screenwriters and their projects have been given the opportunity to participate.

Advisors are selected with the help of the Robert Redford’s Sundance Institute and confirmed for this months sessions include Walter Bernstein (The Front), Jeremy Pikser (Bulworth), Trevor Preston (I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead), Judith Rascoe (Havana), Matthew Robbins (Sugarcane Express).
Recent Moonstone participants, and their projects, include Liz Gill (Goldfish Memory), David Gleeson (Cowboys and Angels), Shimmy Marcus (Headrush), Veit Helmer (Gate To Heaven), Hilde Van Mieghem (The Kiss). Terry Loane’s project Jonjo Mickybo is currently in post-production with Working Title. Kenny Glenaan’s project Yasmin (aka Spark) is currently in post-production with Parallax
