The Irish Film & Television Academy is hosting Women in Focus tomorrow Wednesday October 5th, at The Foundry, Google HQ, and welcomes panellists from the sectors that impact our industry and society on a daily basis; film, broadcasting, technology, communications, education, fintech, legal, and publishing.

The IFTA Women in Focus Conference is a morning discussion and forum exploring how women in media can influence audiences; what the future looks like for the next generation; and how we as an industry can positively influence our society to ensure that from script to screen, from content to digital platforms, online and social media, women are adding their perspective and their voices to business and everyday life.

IFTA CEO Áine Moriarty will welcome attendees and speakers, followed by a keynote address from RTÉ Broadcaster and Television Presenter Miriam O’Callaghan (Prime Time, Saturday Night with Miriam).

The Influence of Female Voices on Society & Young People
This panel will be chaired by Broadcaster & Producer Elaine Crowley (Midday), and consists of Model and TV Presenter Vogue Williams (Wild Girls), Head of New Business Sales Google Sarah Byrne, Matheson Partner Ann-Marie Bohan and Girl Crew Co-Founder Áine Mulloy.

‘A Date for Mad Mary’ is a feature film debut for the filmmakers, and earned both the Audience Choice Award and Bingham Ray New Talent Award for lead actress Seána Kerslake (Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope) at the Fleadh.

Irish Film and Television - Back to the Future
