Irish film Director Steve Saint Leger has signed up to direct episodes three and four in the new season of ‘Vikings’, currently filming in Ashford Studios in Ireland.
Saint Leger is best known for his extensive battle/action unit work on Season three and four of the acclaimed show. His work includes the explosive attack on Paris in the Prime Time Emmy nominated episode “To the Gates”.
He will now direct two full episodes from the period drama series. Saint Leger’s other credits include his award winning short ‘Prey Alone’ and the feature film ‘Lockout’ starring Guy Pearce, produced by Luc Besson and co-directed with James Mather.
Irish actor Jonathan Rhys-Meyers has also joined the cast for season five.
‘Vikings’ has remained a top ten cable drama series since premiering in 2013. It is now the number one telecast on Thursday nights on cable in all key demographics within Live +3 delivery garnering 4.2 million total viewers, 2.1 million Adults 25-54 and 1.9 million Adults 18-49.
