Lynda McQuaid is to leave her post as Director of Content at TV3, it has been reported.
McQuaid took over the post from Jeff Ford in April 2015 and under her stewardship, TV3 launched shows such as Saturday AM and Sunday AM.
Staff at TV3 group were notified of her departure on Friday of last week with an internal e-mail thanking her for her “significant contribution”, according to the Irish Independent.
Lynda’s career began in Granada Television’s entertainment division where she worked on shows such as ‘Stars in Their Eyes’, ‘You’ve Been Framed!’ and ‘This Morning’. She subsequently joined the BBC in 1997 and produced the then unknown Peter Kay on ‘The Sunday Show’. Later that decade she returned to Granada as launch producer for the newly formed ITV2.
Most recently Lynda has worked as Executive Producer for CBBC in Media City, and with Communicorp in Dublin. Previous roles also include head of development at production company Screentime ShinAwiL who produce The Voice of Ireland.
